Remembering Japan

     Before Japan, I was extremely navigationally challenged. I could get lost inside a cardboard box. During my stay, I really focused on fixing that and I'm proud to say I only got lost once. Unfortunately for me, it was on my last day. (I did say these stories would be disorganized)      Now, one quick disclaimer. In some of the videos I'll be posting in the future I say that I'm lost or I don't know where I am, but to be clear, I'm not lost in those. Generally, I had an idea of where I was and a backup plan if I ended up going the wrong way. Ok! I'm going to start in Tokyo! Now, out of my two-month trip, I only spent the last ten days in Tokyo. The reason I'm showing it first because I want to. ;) I stayed in a shared home called Oakhouse. It was really conveniently placed in Gotanda (a sub-city of Tokyo I think?) and close to the Yamanote line which hit up pretty well every big destination in Tokyo. I memorized this train like the back of my hand and rode it daily without getting lost (Well, once, but that's another story). Nearly every train had both Japanese and English so it was easy to find my way, but I memorized the Kanji to a few places. I should have created this blog years ago. Heck I should have started this while I was in Japan. I attempted to make some youtube videos while I was there, but editing became far too intimidating and I quickly lost steam. Still, I made videos and took hundreds of pictures of my trip. Did I share them? Hardly. I showed my family most of everything and friends a couple pictures here and there, but my over-excitement about my trip seemed to scare people off. After the initial excitement left I felt deeply saddened. Even now my heart aches a bit thinking about my time in Japan and I desperately want to return. I could go on about this forever, but I won't bore you with my woes! I've finally dove back into all my old photos and videos and I'm going to use this blog to share them all!
